What You Need to Know about December 5, 2014

We are at the First Friday of December! That means Festival of Lights! Here’s a flashback friday of me enjoying the mild weather and the swings at Elsewhere last year.

News Across North Carolina for December 5

This popular Greensboro museum is expanding its offerings for adults.

The newest roller coaster at Carrowinds has an 81-foot drop.

We now have a new ten-year NC DOT transportation priority plan. This plan includes the Durham-Orange Rail, several urban road loops, widening I-40 in Orange County and several other major projects statewide.

Several groups at several fast food restaurants throughout the state have been protesting for a higher minimum wage.

There may not be enough contractors to move all the coal ash that needs to be moved. Oh and here goes more pollution around Duke Energy operations.

Charlotte’s Center City Partners is looking at ways to bring more retail to Charlotte’s uptown.
